Memorial Day 2008

Written by simplyRik on August 5, 2008

In Honor of this Memorial Day, I thought I would look back at some of the posts I have written over the years of my own experiences in the United States Marine Corps. From my arrival at Parris Island that fateful night of September 12, 1985 through to my graceful exit in July 1993.

Like so many before me, I accepted the Eagle, Globe and Anchor as well as the legacy of the thousands of Marines who went before me and shouldered the burden of protecting freedom. These posts are my story and are not entirely what you would expect of a U.S. Marine, but I lived and loved every minute of my time in the Corps.
